EDIT: For those of you who don't get the joke:
- If you look at Sonic in every episode he always looks bored
- Tails basically gets hurt alot throughout the show - crashes the plane (Sidekick), gets eaten by the octopus (Buster) or is buried under a rock (Unlucky Knuckles) (If you follow the Sonic Boom tag on Tumblr it's a running joke)
- Knuckles is pretty clueless, but pretends to know what's going on
- Amy is probably the most sane of them all
- .... and Sticks is Sticks
